Bob Wilmeth was a resident of Lincoln County for approximately forty
years. Born in Roswell, New Mexico, May 24, 1943, to parents A.J. (Jack)
Wilmeth and Reda Fay McKnight Wilmeth. Bob grew up in the country and became
a friend to animals at an early age. He cared about the world around him,
including people he found to be less fortunate than others. Bob was a horse
trainer, hunter; raised mules and dogs and chickens! He was a rancher, an
authentic cowboy, and at one time was in the construction business as a
professional sheet rocker.
Bob is a published author of beautiful poetry, and wrote his
autobiography. He held a PHD in the school of hard knocks. "Giving up" was
never once in Bob's vocabulary. Herein, Dance with Lightning, is a
part of his story. The remainder of Bob's manuscript lies in the hands of a
thief. God above, who is love, knows all this. Thanks be to Him for Bob
being my brother, and for Bob's true story of Lightning!

Ray Owens of Artesia, NM,
